In most cases yes — USPS won't begin delivery to a curbside address until a compliant box is in place. If you've just closed on a new build, book the install before moving day and your first mail arrives with you.

Mailbox posts don't need a building permit, but digging near the road can involve buried utilities. We call NC 811 for locates whenever the dig requires it. It's free and it's the law — and it's why we quote installs in days, not same-day.

Standard $699, Premium $849, High-Ticket $949+. The "+" on High-Ticket reflects the box you choose — the labor doesn't change. Gravel apron add-on is $129. Charlotte jobs may include a trip fee, quoted in writing before you book. There are no other numbers.

Because the box is the cheap part. The price covers a two-person insured crew, demolition and haul-away of the old post, an auger dig around roots and rock, a plumb concrete set, USPS-spec mounting, house numbers, and a clean curb — plus the truck, tools, and the trip. The hardware-store kit leaning at your neighbor's curb is what "cheaper" looks like in year two.

No. Most customers aren't. We just need clear access to the curb — no cars parked over the spot. You get photos of the finished install texted to you before the truck leaves.

The install itself is 60–90 minutes. Booking to done: usually inside a week for Hendersonville and Asheville, up to two weeks for Charlotte, which runs on dedicated install days.

They leave in our truck. Removal and haul-away are included in every package — no pile at the curb, no extra line item. If the old box has sentimental value, tell us when you book and we'll leave it by the garage instead.

No. The swap happens in one visit, so your box is only "down" for about an hour — and we schedule around typical delivery windows where we can. Fresh concrete cures below the surface; the box itself is usable immediately.

A $129 clean gravel apron around the post. It's the honest fix for curb strips where grass won't grow, mowers chew the dirt, or mountain rain washes the bank out every spring. Popular on rural and sloped frontage.

We usually just deal with it — that's Western North Carolina, and it's priced in. In the rare case the ground genuinely changes the job, we call you before changing anything. The price never moves without a conversation first.
